How to buy a bike in Beijing - step 4
Step 4 - I became the proud owner of a 1000 lb Beijing bike. I still need to get a basket but as of next week, i am cruising to work in style.
I'd love to have a bike here but bike riding on the street is a life threatening experience and not one that I would endure. At all.
I've looked at mountain bikes for off road riding in the huge parks and even outside of Moscow but the season is just too short to spend that kind of money. The bike would spend 9 months parked on my balcony.
Glad you got a good deal and that you got to see the underbelly of Beijing in the process. Always nice to get off the beaten track.
